As Regional President and President of Colorado, Todd and Matt will continue to implement a “One Team” strategy.
Congratulations to Todd Guthrie on his promotion to Regional President and Matt Hoster on his promotion to President of Colorado.
In their new roles, Todd will work to replicate Denver’s growth and longevity in two of the company’s other successful and emerging markets while Matt will continue developing operational efficiencies, empowering Colorado employee-owners, and integrating national expertise from the entire company.
“Todd and Matt have been an integral part of the Colorado operation since the office opened, and it’s been a pleasure to watch their careers progress over the last 30 years,” said Brian Ramsay, CEO. “I have extreme confidence in their leadership abilities given the success we have seen in Colorado, and I know that they will continue to lead all of the offices they manage to greater heights in these new leadership roles.”
I have extreme confidence in Todd and Matt’s leadership abilities. I know they will continue to lead all offices they manage to greater heights in these new leadership roles.

Responsible for opening the Denver office in 1999, Todd has almost 40 years of construction experience. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and his MBA from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business.
“My goal was to provide a strong foundation for the business that the next generation could leverage into even more success, far surpassing what we have accomplished to date. I hope that I can help the Tennessee and Arizona offices thrive like the Colorado team,” said Guthrie. “[Hoster] joined as an intern right after the Colorado office opened 25 years ago, and since then, he has stepped up wherever he was needed. Few construction leaders have such a diverse perspective.”
Matt brings over 25 years of experience at W.E. O’Neil, where he developed a leadership style focusing on client satisfaction and employee retention. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and MBA from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
“I work for W.E. O’Neil because of the culture, the values, and the people. I’ve been given opportunities to grow, sometimes before I knew I was ready for it,” said Hoster. “I have worn many hats here, and my goal is to pass that knowledge to the next class of leaders [at W.E. O’Neil] while removing barriers for them to advance in their careers.”
