Air Center Scottsdale, McClain Street Facility

One of the top 15 busiest aviation hubs in the United States, the Scottsdale Airport is nine miles north of downtown Scottsdale, AZ and is surrounded by the Scottsdale Airpark, which features two million square feet of commercial business space.

At this airport, W.E. O’Neil built the McClain Street Facility at Air Center Scottsdale, a new, 101,880 SF facility featuring a new two-story office and four hangars.

This design-build project was multi-phased and owner-occupied while construction took place on each subsequent phase. This project includes an aircraft maintenance and repair shop, the four hangars range from 10,700 SF to 22,650 SF, and the two-story office portion totals 26,989 SF. The facility is constructed of pre-engineered structural steel frames with concrete tilt-up exterior, and includes foam fire protection as an additional safety feature.
