Ground Breaking on Fulton Market Mixed-Use Development
Construction is set to break ground on a new mixed-use development in Chicago’s bustling Fulton Market District, just blocks from the company’s headquarters. The development at 1020 W. Randolph St. will include an approximately 35,000 S.F. structure with boutique office space on four floors, ground-floor retail, and a 2,000 S.F. rooftop amenity terrace.
Construction is slated to begin this month and be completed in early 2023. Project partners include L3 Capital, Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture, RL Edward Partners, IMEG, Interface Engineering, Confluence, Eriksson Engineering, and Flood Testing Laboratories. W.E. O’Neil is also self-performing the concrete structure and Flood Testing.
Concurrently, W.E. O’Neil is building a new parking structure in the same neighborhood, at Randolph and Ada, for the Plumbers Local 130 UA. The structure, while providing parking for the local union’s members, will also help to alleviate parking congestion in the flourishing Fulton Market/West Loop neighborhood.
