Located in the heart of downtown Chicago this 510,000 SF, 17-story core and shell office building is a wellness-focused, tech-enhanced, and transit-connected development.
Project scope included caisson foundation, concrete core, and steel framing with an insulated glass skin. The dense downtown urban site surrounded by continually highly trafficked roadways and underground trainline systems required extensive vibration control. Features of 22 W Washington and its amenity spaces include:
- 14-foot slab-to-slab height
- 29,500 RSF per floor
- Open-concept floorplates
- Two chiller plants
W.E. O’Neil completed the directly adjacent Block 37 retail podium simultaneously.
