Anthem Aspen Lodge Adult Recreation Center

The goal for Aspen Lodge was to provide residents of the 55+ Anthem Ranch community with a building that would embody all one would expect in a retreat. The concept of a “Colorado lodge” became the focus, emphasizing the integration of indoor and outdoor spaces.

The main entry is approached on the east side through a covered walkway and off a porte-cochere. The building wraps around outdoor amenities, including a recreation pool, spas, bocce courts, a grass amphitheater, and walking trails along a small lake on the west side.

The building’s axis is perfectly aligned for views of prominent peaks of the Front Range. Heavy timber trellis structures, stone detailing, and concrete tile roofs in earth tones ground this building in the landscape.

On the interior of the Aspen Lodge are an indoor lap pool/whirlpool, equipment room, billiards room, indoor track, studio room, locker rooms, and two conference/ballrooms for residents and guests.
