Located in the Hollywood District of Los Angeles, this pocket park is 0.2 acres and was the first park and public green space within a ½ mile radius.
A sight for sore eyes, this park is a welcome spot to enjoy the sunshine and shade trees within its densely populated and under served neighborhood. Long and narrow, this unique pocket of land utilizes a retaining wall to create a raised planting area throughout most of the site. Local artists’ mosaic pieces can be found throughout the park, inspiring visitors as they enjoy some time with nature.
In partnership with the City of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks, the Trust for Public Land conducted numerous outreach events allowing the community to dictate the park’s design direction. As a result, the thoughtful design was developed based on outreach efforts and community input.
