Cherry Hills Village City Hall demonstrates how top-notch design and construction can meet bold aspirations for a civic building even with small budgets.
The new City Hall reflects the city’s vibrancy and future. This outdated facility no longer met the community’s needs and was demolished. Now in its place is a newly constructed, contemporary, multi-function building.
It was critical to include more multi-use spaces, ideal for public events. The spacious patio opens onto the landscaped site, and high-end building materials and finishes capture all things, Colorado. The interior includes distinctive blue beetle-kill pine wall paneling and stone, zinc, and wood similar to adjacent buildings.
Light permeates the building through large windows and variegated roof shapes, connecting the interior and exterior. The improved aesthetic now conveys an open and transparent civic space.
The new City Hall includes council chambers and a local municipal court as well as conference rooms, offices, equipment rooms, a breakroom, and restrooms.
Construction also encompassed over-lot grading, parking lots, storm drainage, and utility improvements such as water, sewer, electrical, communications, cable, and gas. The new facility also achieved necessary ADA compliance.
