As part of the joint venture COT3 (Clark-O’Neil Terminal 3), W.E. O’Neil is proud to build at O’Hare International Airport again. The ElevateT3 project is a massive investment in the airport’s aging terminal facilities supported by $90 million in grant funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). ElevateT3 is also serving to support the small and diverse business owners across Chicago’s 77 community areas.
Working with Clark, O’Hare, the Chicago Department of Aviation, and other partners, the project will accomplish a host of key improvements.
The existing two TSA checkpoints will be reconfigured into one central screening area. The passenger corridor between Concourse K and L will be expanded to triple the current width, and the hold rooms of gates K1 and L2A will be expanded.
The baggage claim area will be reconfigured along with other baggage facilities and systems within the terminal. Roughly 10,000 square foot of new concession and amenity space will be added. Restrooms will be renovated and new family restrooms will be added.
The project will also increase energy efficiency through improvements to the building’s interior and exterior structure and systems.
