Project Stories

Engineering a Safe Crossing Over the Argo Ditch

Project challenge: navigating the Argo ditch, a flood channel running parallel to the north runway and regulated by four government agencies. The approved solution features a flood-resistant dirt bridge with two 60’ drainpipes, designed to facilitate the safe crossing of segments en route to the airfield. Upon completion, the area will be fully restored to its original condition.

Self-Propelled Modular Transports (SPMTs)

Each segment will be constructed ‘landside’ in the Offsite Construction and Relocation (OCR) Yard, then transported ‘airside’ using Self-Propelled Modular Transports (SPMTs).
