Design-Build
This design-build project for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority was built on Caltrans property and seamlessly integrated into an existing, operational bus terminal facility.
A LEED Gold Certified building, the 45,000 SF structure comprises a structural steel framework and an aluminum composite and glass wall panel system. When entering the lobby, guests are greeted by a local artist’s design, commissioned by LACMTA. Finishes include a CIP epoxy terrazzo floor system in the first-floor lobby and an expansive structural glass curtain wall system. Interior finishes include employee workstations, private offices, conference rooms, break areas, and an MTA Board of Director’s presentation room.
In addition to being the main building for bus operators and employees at Division 9, the new facility also includes a community room for Metro governance council meetings and public hearings.
