Oakland Court is a public housing development consisting of a mixture of single-family, duplex, and triplex homes. The existing housing development on the property was demolished to prepare for new residences, streets, parking courts, walking trails, community building, and an onsite office for the Murfreesboro Housing Authority.
While the project adds affordable housing capacity for the community, the development was designed in architectural historic styles found within the neighborhood to respect and engage the surrounding neighborhood. The masterplan developed a new street structure for the project allowing all homes to face the street.
