II in One Contractors

II In One was founded in 1984 by Robert J. McGee Jr., a Black tradesman, and Oliver B. Fifer, a Chicago Public Schools teacher. What started as a teacher-student relationship developed into a business partnership, and their team has now contributed to major projects throughout Chicago over the last three decades, creating positive change along the way.

A primary focus of II in One is the development of its employees, many of whom have risen through the ranks from apprentices to project managers and beyond.

Trice Construction Company

Trice Construction brings over half a century of expertise to this project. In 2007 when Trice President Stephanie Hickman assumed leadership of the firm her father and uncles had operated since 1967, she carried on her family’s legacy of expert service, unwavering quality, and a culture of safety.

Stephanie has combined her leadership and mentorship skills with Trice’s team of skilled operations professionals to position the company for success. To Trice, this means continued growth for their business, and paying it forward to help other minority businesses grow.
