Ovation Hollywood is an existing shopping mall and entertainment complex located at the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles.
The 463,000 SF center includes notable venues such as the TCL Chinese Theatre and the Dolby Theatre, home to the Academy Awards, and welcomes over 25 million annual visitors. DJM Capital’s approach for this property was an extensive “facelift” and look, upgrading the current tenant mix to drive better foot traffic and annual revenues to the property.
Our scope of work consisted of refreshing the entire property with the exception of the subterranean parking garage (owned by the City of Los Angeles) and the Dolby Theatre (owned by CIM Group). Scope included converting 100,000 SF of dining space into leasable offices and new high-end storefronts. Exterior and interior public areas were renovated with new finishes and colors, including the replacement of all the facility’s decorative paving.
W.E. O’Neil provided 12 months of preconstruction services which included estimating, site logistics, scheduling, constructability reviews, and BIM.
