Part of a larger development, Palisade Park North entailed sitework to prepare for future projects on the northern portion of the site. This seven-acre site development project included mass earthwork, erosion control measures, wet utilities, three pedestrian bridges, roadway construction (curb, gutter, asphalt paving), sidewalks, trails, maintenance roads, pavement marking, signage, site concrete, traffic control, and box culvert construction.
Our team worked tirelessly, at times seven days a week, for this repeat client, delivering the project on-time despite challenging timeline requirements. The most challenging part of the project involved working in two ditches owned by The Farmers Reservoir & Irrigation Co. (FRICO).
Since Colorado is a semi-arid environment, the systems of ditches that transport water from the mountains to the front range and to the farmers in eastern Colorado are extremely important. This project required work that intersected two portions of FRICO’s Bull Canal. We completed two box culverts in only six weeks, all the while maintaining full preparation for the constant risk of water flowing in the ditch within a 48-hour notice from FRICO.
