Working with a repeat client, the City of Long Beach, W.E. O’Neil completed the Auxiliary Maintenance Building project which provided much-needed space and bays for the longshoremen’s vehicle maintenance.
Three new buildings were constructed at Pier E, including a new chassis repair and maintenance building, a reefer wash and genset repair building, and the north roadability building. The buildings total 27,810 SF and provide space for maintenance and repair, generator repair, vehicle wash, truck inspection, and storage.
Construction materials included the use of steel framing at two of the buildings and masonry block for the third.
Additional work on the site including all associated site improvements, parking lot and roadways, site utilities, and landscaping.
