Providing preconstruction and construction services, our team completed an interior renovation of existing United Airlines Inflight Services including complete demolition of an 11,000 SF existing space and a rebuild of the area. The scope of work included new framing and drywall, flooring, t-bar and hard lid ceilings, painting, millwork, tile, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
Due to the restricted available space at LAX, it was imperative to maintain the functionality of the domicile to support its 365-day operations. The project was strategically split into two phases: the north and south areas, each serving as temporary accommodations while construction took place within their respective spaces. In the south area, essential modifications, such as the creation of temporary workstations, played a crucial role in facilitating the phases of demolition and construction.
The north area encompasses various functions, including a welcoming reception area, a comfortable staff lounge, well-equipped briefing rooms, spacious conference rooms, private offices, a dedicated coffee station, restrooms, and storage rooms for office supplies. The south area is designed to cater to common areas, additional conference rooms, a break room, and sleeping quarters for personnel needing rest during their extended shifts.
