Originally constructed circa 1960, this 114,848 SF, four-story, cast-in-place structure is currently home to the Department of Botany and Plant Sciences for University of California, Riverside. With a basement level and a four-story core for routing MEPs, the building has instructional and laboratory spaces, classrooms, and administrative offices.
The team will primarily focus on replacing the core building systems, specifically mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire systems.
The project will be performed in approximately five phases. All construction will be completed while the building remains fully operational, with ongoing research and learning.
